Manalapan Yacht Club Officers’ Meeting .
April 20, 2023
The Officers met at The Little Club. Commodore Allan Kaulbach presided. In attendance
were VC Jim Schelter, RC’s Sherman Neff, Alex Berry and Bill Harsh.
The purpose of the meeting was to finalize arrangements for the clubs Annual Meeting,
which will be held at the Key Largo Anglers Club from May 8 to 11, 2024.
The Officers confirmed the captains for each game, the schedule of events, and the
agenda for the Annual Meeting.

Croquet: VC Schelter assisted by RC Neff
Bocce: Commodore Kaulbach
Bean Toss: RC Harsh
Darts: PC Shipka
Fishing: All Officers

Tuesday, May 7
Early arrivals, games to be arranged individually.
Wednesday, May 8
Golf tournament for early arrivals. Time TBD.
5:30 – 7. Happy hour at The Point. Individual dinner reservations.
Thursday, May 9
9:00 – 12 noon. Games.
12 noon to 2:00. Lunch
2:00 – 5:00. Games
5:00 – 7:00. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the Smalley’s yacht “small e”
7:15 – Dinner at KLAC (open seating, coat required) followed by the Piano Bar (coat
required, tie preferred)
Friday, May 10
9:00 – 11:30. Finals, beginning with croquet.
11:30. Ladies’ fishing contest.
12:45. Brunch at KLAC
Free time in the afternoon.
6:00 – 7:30. Annual meeting (Coat and tie required)
7:30. Dinner at KLAC in the Coral Room (Mystery seating, coat and tie required)
After dinner: Piano bar (coat no tie)
Saturday, May 11.

Charges at the Annual Meeting
The Officers agreed that the club will pay for lunch and dinner on Thursday and brunch
and dinner on Friday, the Wednesday happy hour at The Point, cocktails and hors
d’oeuvres hosted by the Smalley’s, cocktails at the Annual Meeting, and Bloody Mary’s
during the fishing contest. The cost of the events will be distributed to the Members
coming to KLAC. Members will be individually responsible for all other food and
beverage charges.

The Officers agreed that RC/Treasurer Neff will be the sole person responsible for
distributing tips at KLAC. He will coordinate with Commodore Kaulbach on the list of
persons to receive tips and the amounts.
